What is orange turmeric good for?
• Well turmeric is a wonderful addition to add to your juices! It offers a long list of health benefits such as helping infections of the digestive tract, improves liver detoxification, prevention of cancer, Alzheimer's disease and cardiovascular disease and may help reduce cholesterol levels.
• Turmeric is a tropical perennial plant grown for its edible, deep orange-yellow rhizomes that add flavor, color and nutritional value to a wide variety of dishes.
• The rhizomes, which are often referred to as turmeric roots, are used fresh or dried and ground as a spice.

How to grow turmeric from seeds?
Turmeric doesn't have typical tiny “seeds” that you imagine for most plants. Instead, pieces of the root system called rhizomes are planted, which in turn produce above-ground foliage as well as more, larger rhizomes in the soil below.

How long to grow?
• Depending upon the variety, the crop becomes ready for harvest in 7-9 months after planting during January-March.
• Early varieties mature in 7-8 months, medium varieties in 8-9 months and late varieties after 9 months.
