Chincherinchee is a long-lasting flower arranged on spikes of up to 30 white cup-shaped flowers. Chincherinchee is ideal for garden borders and pots/containers. They multiply rapidly and look great together. Ornithogalum flowers are easy to grow; you can easily grow them in your terrace garden or balcony.

When To Plant Ornithogalum From Bulb 
Chincherinchee Ornithogalum is a bulbous perennial that can also be grown from seeds. The best time to plant the Ornithogalum flower bulbs is in spring (February to March) for summer flowering or fall (September to October) for spring flowering. 

How To Grow Ornithogalum In Pots 
Ornithogalum is easy to grow from bulbs, you can plant it directly in the garden or pot when the temperature is around 15°C or less. Spacing is very important for healthy growth, try to maintain a distance of 10-15 cm between bulbs. Plant 1-2 bulbs per pot to avoid crowding. Pot or grow bag of at least 22-36 cm is good for it. 

Planting Ornithogalum Bulbs
• Take a pot or grow bag, fill it with potting mix and plant 1-2 Ornithogalum bulbs in the soil at a depth of 5-8 cm and 10-15 cm of spacing between the bulbs to allow the Ornithogalum plants to fully develop. 
• The bulbs resemble small onions, with Ornithogalum planting the bulb with the root down and the tip up. 
• Cover the soil, water deeply through a watering can, and keep the soil moist. Place the pot in a sunny place. 
• After a few weeks, you will see that the bulbs have developed roots and have begun to sprout. 

Ornithogalum Fertilizer Requirements 
Ornithogalum plants do not require special fertilizer; just add compost during its growing season or a liquid fertilizer every few weeks once the plant is established.

Chincherinchee Ornithogalum Flower Care Tips 
Soil : Use well-draining but not very rich soil for planting Ornithogalum. If you don't have well-draining soil, you can improve the soil by adding organic matter.
Water : Give water freely during the growing season and keep dry when dormant. Reduce watering during winter or rainy season to avoid the rotting of tubers. 
Sunlight : Ornithogalum thrives in full sunlight but also grows well in partial shade. If you plan to grow indoors, put the pot on a window sill where it will get maximum hours of sunlight.
Temperature : Ornithogalum flower plants grow best in temperatures between 18-23°C. Wherein it cannot tolerate temperatures of less than 7°C. 
Common pests and diseases : Generally, these are trouble-free plants but fungal diseases can infect the plant in cold weather. Therefore fungicide is beneficial for it.

Ornithogalum Bloom Time 
• Typically, Ornithogalum blooms from late spring to mid-summer (March-May).
• It may die from late autumn to winter which is its dormant period, but don't worry as it starts growing again in spring.
• You can cut the flowers before they are fully open, and decorate them in a vase, it can stay fresh for a few weeks.
