By purchasing from our website, you acknowledge and accept these natural variations and care responsibilities.

Another hobbit land stunner, the Lemon Lime Prayer plant is a low-growing plant with bright green lines on their leaves. As if the look of the plant is not enough, you will get a kick out of the movement of the leaves throughout the day and night. These plants are called prayer plants due to the movements throughout the day, similar to a prayer ritual.  Care for these plants are specific, so make sure you read the water and light requirements below!

Maintenance

Light Requirements: Low to Medium

People with lower light settings will be happy to know that Maranta plants prefer lower light settings. Direct light is a no-no, medium light is best, but they also do well in lower light. In its natural habitat, this plant is often shaded by taller plants/trees.

Water Requirements: Moderate

Maranta plants like to be consistently moist (not wet). If the plant dries out too much, then it can result in pests. I like to give these plants a bit of water frequently, as opposed to drenching them and allowing them to dry out.
Important: These plants tend to be sensitive to water with chemicals and minerals. Tap water may cause these plants to get brown tips. If possible, water your plant with rain water, filtered water or water that has been standing for at least 24 hours. It is also important to water them with room temperature water. Try not to get water on their leaves as this can result in fungal issues. Note: Be sure not to let the plant sit in pooled water as that can cause root rot.

Pet Note

Pet lovers will be happy to know that these plants are non-toxic. But please don't let cute little Whisky nibble these beautiful leaves!
