All our plants are living products and natural variations in size, shape and color are to be expected. Pictures shown on this website are for reference only; the actual plant you receive may differ slightly in appearance depending on seasonal growth, maturity and environmental conditions. All plants are shipped in their original nursery planter pot unless otherwise stated. Decorative pots shown in pictures are for display purposes only and are not included with the plant. Plants are perishable and require proper care. We cannot be held responsible for issues arising from improper handling, neglect or unsuitable growing conditions after delivery. Some plants may be shipped in a dormant or less mature state to ensure safe transit and healthy growth upon arrival. While we make every effort to provide healthy, pest free plants, we recommend inspecting and acclimating them to your environment as part of standard plant care practices. By purchasing from our website, you acknowledge and accept these natural variations and care responsibilities.

Hoya carnosa are one of the popular hoyas among enthusiasts due to their relatively simple care requirements. This variation of the carnosa, grows leaves with beautiful creamy white/yellow borders.
Note: If your Hoya grows long tendrils, do not cut them! If the tendril finds a spot to grip to, and with enough light, it can develop leaves along the length. Wrap the tendril around a trellis to help your plant develop these leaves.

Maintenance

In their natural habitat, hoyas are often shaded by taller plants/trees. Therefore, bright indirect light is best. Although hoyas can be sunstressed by exposing the plant to more sunlight than necessary (sunstressing can result in beautiful reddish leaf colours), direct light that is too intense, can cause burning and fading of leaves. Low light can result in darker leaves. Hoya would prefer to dry out between waterings, followed by a thorough watering. Consider watering less during the winter season.
Note: Be sure not to let the plant sit in pooled water as that can cause root rot.
