Brachyscome is a popular scented and daisy-like flower plant, they are perennial or annual. The plant produces small flowers in white, purple, pink and blue with a yellow or dark center disc. They can be grown in containers, hanging pots or gardens.

Brachyscome Growing Season In India 
Brachyscome, like the Swan River Daisy, is best grown in India during the cooler months, typically in winter from November to February, in most regions. In some areas with milder climates, it can also thrive during the spring season, from March to April.

How To Grow Brachyscome From Seeds
Sow the Brachyscome flower seeds in a seedlings tray or small pots then transplant them into big pots. The best temperature for Brachyscome seed germination is between 18-21°C. A pot or grow bag of at least 15-30 cm is good for it.

Brachyscome Mix Flower Seeds Sowing Method 
• Take a seedling tray, fill it with potting mix soil and spread the Brachyscome seeds on the soil. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil and place the seedling tray in a sunny spot. Keep the soil moist until germination. Brachyscome flower seeds will germinate in 10-18 days.
• After seed germination when Brachyscome seedlings have a few true leaves, you can transplant them into pots or grow bags. 
• Plant only 1-2 seedlings in each 15 cm pot for healthy growth. Keep the soil moist and place the pot in partial sunlight for a few days after transplanting to protect the seedling from transplant shock. After 3 days, keep the pot in full sunlight.

Brachyscome Fertilizer Requirements 
Fertilizer needs depend on soil conditions. If you have poor soil, amend it before planting with organic material such as aged compost. Also, add a slow-release fertilizer (vermicompost, or cow manure) every few weeks. Don't over-fertilize the plant or add too much nitrogen.

Brachyscome Flower Care Tips 
Soil : Use well-drained, rich and moist soil for planting Brachyscome. It can grow in poor soil but does not give a good result so it is best to plant in rich soil.
Water : It needs moderate water as it is a drought-tolerant plant. Give the Brachyscome plant 2-5 cm of water per week and increase the amount if planted in sandy or well-draining soil.
Sunlight : Brachyscome thrives in full sunlight but also grows well in partial shade. But the best is to get at least 6-8 hours of sunlight.
Temperature : Brachyscome flowers grow best in temperatures between 10-25°C.
Common pests and diseases : Snails and slugs are some pests that attack the Brachyscome plant. You can use neem oil to control pests. Whereas powdery mildew and foliar fungal disease infect the plant due to high humidity and the continuous wetting of leaves. You can control this disease by removing the infected part of the plant.

Brachyscome Bloom Time 
Usually, Brachyscome blooms in summer to fall (April-November) and not blooming well in hot summer or extreme winter. You can cut Brachyscome flowers and decorate them in a vase, they can stay in the water for a long time after cutting.
