Big things come in small packages. A super-compact and cute as a button plant with miniature, crowded, droopy and bright green foliage. It fits in with a majority of décor styles, but is a match made in heaven for Bohemian and Mid-century Modern interior design styles. Nephrolepis exaltata, known as the sword fern or Boston fern, is a species of fern in the family Lomariopsidaceae. The Boston fern is one of the most well-known ferns and admired for its desirable traits as a houseplant. Boston ferns are typically attractive, with long, graceful fronds bedecked with tiny leaves. It is a relatively tough fern, with a higher tolerance for light than other species, they are more tolerant of dry conditions and easy to propagate.

Maintenance

Watering : Water thrice a week
Lighting : Needs bright indirect sunlight
Always check your plants before watering, the topsoil should be dry to touch. Place your plants on window sills or in a place where it can get the brightest possible indirect light. As a rule of thumb, water the plant thoroughly in the summer and reduce watering in winter and rainy season.

Pet Note

The plant causes no harm to your pets on contact or ingestion, However, consuming indoor plants is not beneficial to their health. If you are a new gardener this is a great choice for you. The plant will thrive in your journey to learn gardening with trials and errors. Before the application of fertilizer loosen the topsoil without disturbing the roots of the plant so it can uptake the nutrients and moisture. During the main growing season feed the plant with organic fertilizer once a month. Remove dead, infected or damaged plant parts and discard them away from the plants. For any insect attack or disease, you can use Neem oil, Eucalyptus oil or Citrus oil spray for primary treatment. Do not re-pot for minimum 2 weeks after receiving it. It can also be grown on a hanging basket.
