Soil Preparation : Use well-drained, fertile sandy loam soil with compost or aged manure mixed in.
Seed Sowing :
• Sow seeds directly in soil ½ to 1 inch deep.

Fertilizer :
• Before Planting : Mix compost or well-rotted manure into the soil
• Growth Stage : Use a balanced NPK fertilizer every 2–3 weeks
• Fruiting Stage : Use phosphorus and potassium-rich fertilizer to promote flowering and fruit development
• Avoid excess nitrogen once flowering begins to prevent excessive vine growth over fruiting

Planting Tips

Sunlight : Plant in full sun (6–8 hours daily).
Mulching : Use mulch to retain moisture and prevent weeds.
Support : Provide trellises or allow vines to trail on the ground.
Thinning : Once seedlings are a few inches tall, thin to the healthiest plant per spot.

How to Know When to Harvest :
• Fruit is firm, pale green and reaches 10–12 inches long.
