This plant is beautiful and scary at the same time! The Tacca chantrieri, more commonly called the Bat flower plant has beautiful textured foliage, with longer, wider leaves similar to the classic Peace lily shape. Each leaf has a textured look and feel which adds interest. But the flower, a stand-out.
Maintenance
Lighting: Bright indirect Watering: Moderate Direct light on this plant can be too extreme. A couple hours of direct sunlight, with the rest being direct indirect light would be preferable. This plant thrives in high humidity environments. Maintaining a slightly moist soil in the summer months is ideal. Cut back on the water during the winter, to avoid root rot.
