How to Grow Collard Green Microgreen

Prepare Your Container
Choose a shallow container or tray with drainage holes. Fill it with a soilless growing medium like potting mix or coconut coir, about 1-2 inches (2.5-5 centimeters) deep.

Sow the Seeds
Scatter collard green seeds evenly across the surface of the growing medium. Press them down gently to ensure good seed-to-soil contact.

Cover the Seeds
Lightly cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil or growing medium. This provides some darkness for germination.

Watering
Water the growing medium thoroughly, ensuring that it's evenly moist but not waterlogged. You can use a spray bottle to avoid disturbing the seeds.

Provide Light
Place the container in an area with indirect sunlight or under grow lights. Collard green microgreens do not require direct sun but need moderate to bright light for healthy growth.

Germination and Growth
Within a few days, you'll notice the seeds sprouting. Keep the growing medium consistently moist as they grow.

Harvest
Collard green microgreens are typically ready for harvest within 7 to 14 days after planting, or once they reach a height of about 2.5 to 5 centimeters. Use scissors to cut them just above the soil level.
